The hike starts at the Grande Usine des Moulinages car park, located on the right as you leave the village towards Saoû.

(S/E) With your back to the road, head towards the far end of the car park on the right. Follow the path to the left of the valley, which begins to climb rapidly. Pass two small hairpin bends and continue through the undergrowth on a steady climb that passes over a wide ledge between two cliffs. Reach a scree slope and cross it, following roughly the same slope.
(1) Almost at the end of the scree slope, ignore a false start that climbs to the right and continue straight ahead to find the path that descends slightly through the woods and then climbs quite steeply for about ten metres. Continue until you are above the cliff and enjoy the magnificent view (there is a pretty cairn). Continue for about ten metres until you reach a fork.
(2) Continue left on a path that descends slightly and then levels out before beginning a steeper climb. Enjoy another viewpoint and then continue climbing through the woods. At the horizontal cross path, continue left for about 50 metres until you reach the next fork.
(3) Continue right uphill and arrive at another fork with a cross path in a less wooded area.
(4) Turn left for a short round trip and you will soon come to a viewpoint. After enjoying the view, return to the previous fork.
(4) Continue along the path, which is almost horizontal, until you reach a crossroads and a small track.
(5) Turn right and follow the track slightly downhill. Ignore the track that branches off to the right and continue straight ahead. Notice an old metal charcoal kiln on your right and continue to the top of the shoulder. Find the start of a discreet path on the left.
(6) Take this small path on the left and after about 50 metres you will reach a scree slope. Enjoy the view and then retrace your steps.
(6) Once back, continue down the track. When you reach a small, more open area, ignore the secondary paths on the right and left and continue straight ahead until you reach a crossroads with four tracks of equal importance.
(7) Turn left and then left again at the next fork. You will arrive at the bottom of the valley at the foot of a meadow.
(8) Leave the track and continue right on the path that follows the bottom of the valley. At the track with the signpost "Ravin de Névelet", continue left and then right onto the road.
At the entrance to the village of Pont-de-Barret, follow Chemin des Buis to the right and then, after the left-hand bend, look for the discreet start of a path on the right. Follow it downhill to the Grande Usine des Moulinages car park (S/E).
