Head towards La Chèvrerie in the commune of Bellevaux. When you reach the lake, the car park is on the right.
(S/E) Leaving the car park via the access road, turn left onto the departmental road and continue for about 50 metres. Then turn right onto the Combe rural path and continue for about 1.5 km until you reach the Combe chalets. At the big bend, before heading towards La Chèvrerie, turn left and continue for 150 metres to the chalets in the hamlet. Between the two houses, you will discover the Chèvrerie valley: don't hesitate to walk down into the field below the house for a better view.
(1) Turn around and walk about 150 m back to the bend and follow the forest track opposite, marked by a sign for "La Chèvrerie". After about 200 m, take the small path on the right marked by yellow arrows down the embankment. You can also continue along the track for 20 metres and then take the forest track that descends to the village of La Chèvrerie.
(2) Once you reach the village on the departmental road, follow it to the right for about 40 metres. Then go down the field on the left between the two small ski lifts
(3) Cross the Brevon via the bridge and follow the path on the right to Lac de Vallon. When you arrive below the Saint-Bruno Chapel, climb the log staircase on the left to reach it. The chapel is often open, so don't hesitate to visit it.
(4) Take the path towards the basin to descend towards the river, cross the bridge and reach the pasture above the lake. Descend directly towards it along the woods on the right to discover a Geopark sign.
(5) Follow the lake shore to the reeds and go up on the left to take the track above the lake. When you reach the end of the lake, turn right to reach the weir.
