Tour of Lake Nantua

Park in the car park by the blocks of flats opposite a playground.

(S/E) Return to the roundabout and turn at the third junction. Take Route de Jargeat.

(1) In Jargeat, take a dirt track on the left.

(2) At the junction, take the path on the left towards Le Martinet. Continue along the edge of the cemetery until you reach the Place de l’Église.

(3) Turn right twice to take a path that climbs and then passes under the motorway.

(4) Shortly after the tunnel under the motorway, continue straight on along the path that runs alongside the motorway. You will reach La Croix Châlon.

(5) Turn right onto the D97.

(6) At the first roundabout, take the first exit on the right, go over the A-road and then the railway line, and continue to Brion.

(7) Drive through the hamlet of Le Mollard, then cross the bridge over the Ange river and continue straight on.

(8) Just after crossing a bridge over the motorway, turn right. Follow the motorway. Head for the bridge crossing the Oignin.

(9) Cross it and continue straight on until you reach the entrance to Saint-Martin-du-Frêne.

(10) At the first junction, turn left onto the road running alongside the cemetery wall.

At the next junction, take a dirt track leading down to the left. Cross the tarmac road and continue straight on along the dirt track.

Head towards the hamlet of La Layette, pass the cemetery, cross the tarmac road and continue straight on until you reach the D1084.

(11) Cross the D1084 and continue straight on to Rue du Lac. Turn left onto this street, head towards Lac de Nantua and walk around it. Head towards Rue du Maquis.

(12) Turn right onto this street just before the Montréal-la-Cluse roundabout.

(13) At the junction with Rue du Jura, turn right and continue straight on until you reach a large bend.

(14) At the wide bend, continue straight on along a small tarmac road that climbs. Continue along this road until you reach the Martignat industrial estate.

(15) At the junction of Rue du Pavé and Rue du Lanchet, turn left. Continue straight ahead at the next roundabout.

At the first junction, turn right onto Rue du Molard aux Biches. Turn left twice.

Cross the bridge over the Ange, then turn left at the next junction to return to the starting car park (S/E).
