This walk is part of the trek The Matterhorn Tour.
The next stage to this mountain hike with a stop at Saint-Luc then a transfer by postbus to Zinal.
Start heading west today and once you get to the forest entrance (D), take on the uphill path leading to Meide mountain hamlet (1).
After a good hike heading north-west, you'll reach Meidsee Lake (2) located beneath the pass. After a few easy bends, you'll rapidly reach Meidpass (3).
Start a long downhill walk towards a pleasant valley followed by several lakes, in particular Combavert Lake to the left of the trail (4). At the site called Le Chiesso (5).you'll reach the Tour du Cervin crossing and Chemin des Planètes.
Leave the Tour du Cervin trail and take the large path, in the forest, heading north-west leading you to Saint-Luc village (6) end of the journey by foot.
Get on the postbus which takes you to Zinal (8), the stage of the day.

Saint-Luc and Gruben two delightful villages in the French-speaking area of Valais.
Today's stage is divided into three: from Gruben to Jungu by foot, Jungu to Saint-Niklaus by cable car and Saint-Niklaus to Grachen by coach.
First phase in the Saint-Luc skiing area before heading along the Tour de Cervin trail and completing the stage at Gruben.
Beautiful mountain stage going through a pass by the name of Augstbordpass.
A long stage through two passes however, shortened by the cable car link in Zinal and the coach transfer between Villa Evolène and Arolla.
Warning: Taking into account the cable car transport, the positive altitude isn't 2156 m as indicated but only 1380 m.
So here's the last stage of this itinarary and what a stage! A delightful climb reaching Hannigalp to find the well-known balcony trail overlooking the valley leading to Saas Fee.
