Description of the walk

Park in the car park at the Lac de la Monnerie leisure complex, or by the lake near the caravan site.

(S/E) Cross the small bridge to reach Lac de la Monnerie. Walk alongside it, turning right, then reach the right bank of the River Loir.

(1) Turn left onto theGR® trail, marked in red and white. Continue until you reach the footbridge.

(2) Here you have two options:
- cross the footbridge to the lovely viewpoint at Moulin de la Bruère, then return to the junction,
- continue along the right bank of the Loir, then turn left to walk alongside a row of trees and reach the Lac des Oiseaux once more.

(3) Turn right and walk along the lake until you reach its eastern end.

(4) Take the path on the left to walk round the lake. You’ll reach the Lac de la Monnerie leisure centre and its beach.
