Tower in the woods of Loye

Park in front of the church or 50 m away in a park-and-ride car park.

(S/E) Head towards the town hall and go to the Lanterne des morts. Turn right onto the main road that leads to the children's playground and the bus shelter.

(1) Continue straight ahead on the flat road called Chez Cruz until you reach the place called Vers la Ville.

(2) When you reach the wash house, turn left onto the steep climb to reach a fork where you can see a shrine.

(3) Continue straight ahead, past the last houses, and follow the path. You will come to a fork.

(4) Facing a large garden... in the middle of the fields, turn left onto a rural path that enters the Bois de Loye.

(5) Turn left. Be careful to ignore the path that enters the woods and follow the trail that runs along the fields and joins a road opposite a GAEC.

(6) Follow it to the left, downhill, to reach the hamlet of Monthoux.

(7) Continue along the road towards the village of Nonglard until you reach the Lanterne des morts. Turn right and you will return to the church car park (S/E).

Water points at the wash house and a fountain near point (3)... the water is not drinkable.
