This hike on the southern slope of Mont Ventoux, narrow, wooded and always chilly, carved out by capricious waters, leads to a vast panoramic view.

Description
Go to Bédoin, cross the village and take the Route du Mont Ventoux which leads to Chalet Reynard. About 200 m further on, turn left on "le Chemin de la Montagne" just before the petrol station "les Lavandes" and follow it until the car park "les Colombets", with signs to "Chambres d'hôtes de Curnier". The car park is located about 100 m after the guest houses.
(D) From the car park, climb the Combe de Curnier on the PR up to the top of the valley to reach a track.
(1) Turn right for a hundred meters then fork left to continue the long climb on the track that joins the Jas des Landérots.
(2) This sheep pen and the clearing offer a panoramic view over Bédoin and the entire valley. At this crossing point, take the GR91B to the left, in the direction of the Jas du Pié Gros. Stay on the main track that leads around the mountainside for approximately 1.5km.
(3) Once you have reached the Jas du Pié Gros, leave the GR to descend left on the PR in the direction of Replanas.
(D) From the car park, climb the Combe de Curnier on the PR up to the top of the valley to reach a track.

We know the area well but had not done this walk. An excellent walk on the south face of Ventoux. Good walking boots essential.

Starting from Sainte-Madeleine Abbey at Barroux, this is quite a wild route offering many views over Mont Ventoux, the Dentelles de Montmirail and the surrounding plains.







A short loop to discover these two characteristic rock formations as well as Saint-Christophe's Chapel, which protects the site, taking a less conventional route.
