Departure from the hamlet of Le Plan. Car park on the left before the bridge.
(S/E) Continue along the arrival road and cross the Torrent de l'Arrondine. After a few metres, turn right and follow the road downhill. Pass to the right of the chairlift departure point and cross the bridge over the Torrent de Jaillet. Then follow the track that branches off to the left. This climbs alongside the torrent and reaches a track suitable for vehicles.
(1) Turn sharply right and follow the track. After two hairpin bends, pass the intermediate station of the Tête du Torraz chairlift and reach the next fork a few metres further on.
(2) Follow the path that starts on the left between the two tracks. After a few hairpin bends, pass under the chairlift and cross a grassy track. Continue until you reach the start of a ski lift.
(3) Climb a few metres under the ski lift and turn right onto the path, which becomes more visible. After a left turn, the path crosses a grassy slope, passes under the ski lift again and climbs to a flat area.
(4) Continue left on an almost horizontal path that crosses two grassy areas (ski slopes). Continue for another 150 metres or so and you will find a start point on the right.
(5) Turn onto the path ascending to the right and reach the summit of the north shoulder of Tête du Torraz. Follow this with a steady climb to the summit of Tête du Torraz.
(6) Then take the track on the right that follows the ridge of the south-western shoulder and find a path starting on the right at the bottom of the descent.
(7) Leave the track and take the path on the right. Cross a field of blueberry bushes and enter the undergrowth. After a fairly steep descent, you will reach a meadow, then take a right-hand bend, a left-hand bend and join a cross track.
(8) Turn left for a return trip on a slight incline to the hamlet of Le Chapet (viewpoint over the valley).
(9) Retrace your steps to the previous fork.
(8) Once back, continue along the downhill track for a few more metres and at the next crossroads (Quatre Chemins), continue downhill opposite. Continue to a new fork.
(10) Turn right, almost horizontally. Ignore a track on the right, cross the footbridge over the Arrondine and return to the car park at Le Plan (S/E).
