Tête de Bel-Lachat walks
From the Anterne Alfred Wills Mountain Hut to Les Houches
This fifth stage crosses the Montagne d'Anterne and, via a high-mountain route, the Aiguilles Rouges massif, offering superb views of the Mont Blanc massif. From the refuge, dominated by the famous Rochers des Fiz, the GR®5 trail climbs to the lake and then to the Col d'Anterne. From there, it descends to the Moëde Anterne Refuge and the Chalets de Moëde before skirting the rocky ridge of the Fonds de Moëde. It crosses the Diosaz at the Pont d’Arvelé to climb the slope of the Aiguilles Rouges massif, passing the ruins of the Chalets d’Arvelé before ascending to the Col du Brévent. After a short descent, it climbs again via ladders up the Brévent ridge and reaches its summit, which offers a splendid panorama of the Mont Blanc massif. The GR®5, via a very long and arduous descent, passes the Refuge de Bellachat and then, further down, the monumental statue of Christ the King, before crossing the Arve and entering Les Houches.

Tour des Aiguilles Rouges: Bellachat Refuge - Servoz
Fifth and final stage of the Tour des Aiguilles Rouges.
This stage offers panoramic views of the Mont Blanc massif and its glaciers, the Contamines valley and Les Fiz. The descent is through forest.

Chamonix - Zermatt
This legendary route connecting these two resorts renowned for skiing and mountaineering is very demanding. It requires excellent physical condition. You will hike through spectacular scenery, starting at the foot of Mont Blanc and ending opposite the Matterhorn. You will pass numerous peaks over 4,000 metres high, such as the Weisshorn and the Dent Blanche d'Hérens.
Chamonix - Col de Balme
This first stage of the long route starts gently, facing the Mont Blanc massif, and ends at the hamlet of Le Tour. The climb to Col de Balme offers superb views of the Glacier du Tour. You will cross the French-Swiss border on the first day, just before arriving at the refuge. From Col de Balme, you can also admire the Emosson lakes.
Tour Mont Blanc in 11 stages
The Tour Mont Blanc (TMB) is a classic long-distance footpath that goes around Mont Blanc, passing from France into Italy and through Switzerland before returning to France. These 11 stages are one way of doing it but you can make your own version of the TMB. The classic route begins and ends in Les Houches and takes an anticlockwise direction around Mont Blanc and the adjacent peaks. There is a total of 164 km (102 miles) walking these 11 routes and a positive height gain of over 10,000m. Certainly a challenging adventure but well worth the effort. Let's do it!

The five-day Tour des Aiguilles Rouges is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Mont Blanc region: breathtaking panoramic views, extremely varied landscapes, and a wild and unspoilt environment.
This tour is located in the heart of three nature reserves: the Aiguilles Rouges, Passy and Vallon de Bérard nature reserves. A panoramic route of great beauty between glaciers, lakes, moraines, forests, flora and wildlife.
Tour des Aiguilles Rouges: Servoz - Refuge Moede Anterne
First stage of the Aiguilles Rouges tour.
This stage begins with a forest climb with views of Mont Blanc and the Bossons glacier. Continuing with a panoramic hike over the Passy reserve, we pass Lac de Pormenaz and arrive at Refuge de Moëde Anterne which overlooks the Mont Blanc mountain range.
From Plan de l'Aiguille to Montenvers station
A lovely downhill hike leading from the restaurant near the Plan de l’Aiguille cable car to Montenvers station, with a return journey by train to Chamonix station.
