On the lands of Saint Blaise in Plassay

Starting point: municipal workshops car park; GPS 45°49'15.9"N 0°43'30.7"W.

(S/E) From the car park, take the D119E2 towards Crazannes/La Combe des Pinettes until you reach a Fork in the road.

(1) Then turn left towards La Roussellière, via Rue des Sorbières. Follow Rue des Thibaudières along a tarmac road. Pass the village of La Petite Forêt on your right to reach the D216E1.

(2) Turn left, then immediately right, and take a path through the woodland which leads, across a field, to the junction with Rue du Vieux Chêne. Turn right and continue to Rue des Combeaux, then turn left at the junction. Pass the pumping station.

(3) Take the D119 on the right, taking care, then turn left onto a dirt track. At the next Fork in the road, take the path on the left towards La Sobretière, and carry on straight ahead through a wooded section (ignore a path on the left and another on the right). At the next junction, carry on straight ahead, then turn left at the Fork in the road onto the track leading to Chaillot on the left.

(4) Cross the D119E3 and, almost directly opposite, take the Chemin du Soldat. At the last house on the right, take a grassy track leading to a road junction.

(5) Turn left towards the houses, then take the first white track on the right. Carry on and ignore the two tracks on the right (tunnel).

(6) Carry on straight ahead until you reach a Fork in the road. Turn left opposite the stone block to head into the woods, continuing straight on until you reach the D119E2. Turn left towards the entrance to the village of Plassay and an intersection.

(7) Take the first road on the right in front of the housing estate, towards the sewage treatment works. Then turn left to reach the car park (S/E).

Plassay Church: dedicated to Saint Blaise (an Armenian bishop martyred in 316, patron saint of carders) and to Our Lady, its construction dates back to^{the 12th} century. Inside, the Romanesque apse is adorned with beautiful carved capitals. The church’s façade dates from^{the 19th} century.
