Picnic area with car park north of Gordes, Route de Murs (D15).
(S/E) Walk down the road towards Gordes for about 50 metres, then take the path on the left towards Ravin de Vézaule (yellow and red markings). Continue along the path until you reach the sign describing Moulin Jean de Marre in the Gorges de Véroncle at a crossroads.
(1) Continue straight ahead, heading north-east, then turn left at the next fork and right at the next one, until you reach a third fork.
(2) Turn left, heading north-north-west to Plan des Busans.
(3) Turn left, south-west, to reach Route de Murs.
Cross the D15with caution and follow it to the right for about 50 metres.
(4) Leave the departmental road and turn left (west) into the forest, leaving Chemin de la Gardette behind. Continue south-west, ignoring the side paths, until you reach a fork at the edge of a forest.
(5) Turn right at the hairpin bend and arrive at the summit bypass.
(6) Turn right to go around the summit, following the blue dots. Then follow the path along the cliff overlooking the Vallon de Ferrière until you reach the Abbaye de Sénanque.
(7) Turn left and climb through the undergrowth towards the north-east until you reach a fork.
(8) Turn right to begin a long descent southwards into the Vallon de Maillet valley and arrive at the Chemin du Vallon des Caquettes.
(9) Take this tarmac road on the left, which climbs up to La Gacholle. Continue on the D15 northwards until you reach Chemin du Cabanon on the left (elevation 443).
(10) Turn left and head north along this path for about 200 metres.
(11) Bear slightly right onto the track for about 200 m.
(12) Turn right onto the track to return to the car park (S/E) , enjoying the view of Roussillon and the Luberon.
