(S/E) Start from the war memorial and head south. At the junction, keep left to follow Rue des Cars and cross the bridge over the Vézère.

(1) At the junction, continue straight ahead for about twenty metres, then leave the road and turn left onto a path. Walk for about thirty metres, then turn right onto the path between two low walls and continue straight on until you reach a road.

(2) Follow it to the right, passing a small road on your right, and continue to the crossroads at a place called Les Rioux.

(3) Turn right. Before crossing the ford over the Ruisseau des Cars, head right to reach the archaeological site.

(4) Continue along the path, reach the car park and turn left, heading back in the opposite direction to return to the Les Rioux crossroads.

(3) Turn right, cross the bridge over the Ruisseau de l'Étang.

(5) Continue along the road to the right towards the hamlet of Les Maisons. When you arrive, continue straight ahead at the junction.

(6) Take Rue du Petit Moulin on the left and continue to the end of the road.

(7) Continue left along the path towards the hamlet of Celle. Pass through the hamlet and continue towards the cemetery.

(8) At the bend, leave the road and follow a path on the left, almost directly opposite. You will come out onto the D109; turn left to see the information board at the entrance to the peat bogs.

(9) Continue along the road until the bend.

(10) Turn right onto a path that goes round the left side of Puy Cherfau and joins a cross-country road.

(11) Cross over and take the path opposite, which is often dotted with puddles after rainy spells. Walk along the right-hand side of the Étang du Diable and head towards a junction before the Oussines buildings.

(12) Turn left, ignoring the access to the hamlet, and join a road.

(13) Continue to the left, passing by the Croix de la Borde and skirting a private pond (no entry). Return to the junction by the bridge over the Vézère.

(1) Turn right, cross the bridge again and return to the car park (S/E).
