Description of the walk

Parking at the Maison du Parc.

Green markings

(S/E) Leave the car park and take the D36 on the left, going down into the village towards the church.

(1) Turn right, go around the church on the left, following the road. Continue on the right, on Chemin de Lassagne, and arrive on the D164. Follow it to the left for about twenty metres.

(2) Leave this main road and turn onto a small road on the left. Continue until you reach a path on the left.

(3) Turn onto it, continue south, and cross the Vézère.

(4) Turn right, cross a road, and join the Pont des Bauches on the right.

(5) Cross the bridge and continue to a crossroads (border of three municipalities).

(6) Take the path on the right and continue straight ahead until the next fork.

(7) Turn right towards the Pont de l'Âne bridge over the Vézère river and continue to a small reservoir.

(8) Pass on the left, at the barrier below, and walk along the top of the Étang des Oussines. You will enter a grazing area. Please remain calm. Continue to the D164 (there is a memorial stone).

(9) Turn left onto the road that descends to Moulin des Oussines.

GR®440 and GR® de Pays de Millevaches

(10) Take the left side of the pond's embankment, go around Moulin des Oussines on the left, and follow the GR®440.

(11) Going up the path, turn left towards Étang de Bournel and continue straight ahead to return to the crossroads of the three municipalities.

(6) Take the road on the right until you reach a path on the left.

(12) Take this path and continue straight ahead until you reach a road that will take you across the Pont de l'Étang bridge and arrive at Chavanac.

GR®440 and GR® de Pays de Millevaches

(13) Pass between the church and the town hall and exit opposite via Route du Mas-Gimel. At the bend in this road, continue straight ahead and head towards La Brugère.

(14) Take the path on the right to return to the village of Millevaches and continue to a spring just before the D36.

(15) Turn left, cross a wetland area on the pontoon, and go up the track. Follow the road on the left, which leads to a small garden. Open the gate and turn right towards the D36. Follow it to the left until you reach the initial fork.

(1) Continue straight on until you reach the Maison du Parc (S/E).
