Start: Park in the car park at the Lac de Pont leisure park.
(S/E) Turn your back on the dike and walk along the beach to join the lakeside path (left bank). Continue for 1400m, where there is an information hut.
(1) From the "Repos et information" ("rest and information") hut known as 1400, continue along the lakeside path to cross the "Rau des Pralats" footbridge and continue along the left bank to reach the next information hut.
(2) The information hut is on the left of the path. From here, a path on your right leads to the VVF or Village Vacances Famille. Do not take this path, but continue along the left bank of the lake to reach the footbridge over the Ruisseau du Larrey.
(3) Cross the Larrey footbridge and follow the lakeside path to the left to discover the Pont Romain de la Ronce. This bridge is visible or passable in dry weather, and allows you to pass between the banks of the lake, reducing the distance by 4 Km. If it's not passable, stay on the left bank lakeside path which takes you to the tail of the lake (footbridge across to the right bank of the Armançon or feeder river).
(4) Cross this footbridge and turn left onto the sentier des Oiseaux, continuing to the next crossroads.
(5) Continue left to reach the right bank of the lake and the footbridge over the Ruisseau de Pisserotte.
(6) Cross the wooden bridge over the Ruisseau des Pisserotte and its rocks (a great spot for photographers). Follow this path along the right bank of the lake to the footbridge over the Peut Crot stream.
(7) Cross the wooden bridge over the stream and continue along the right bank of the lake towards the dam which is visible.
(8) A staircase has just been installed between the dam and the right bank path. It may provide a shortcut. Continue along the modified path and descend along the spillway to reach the Armançon footbridge.
(9) Cross this footbridge and follow the path towards the dam.
(10) A staircase takes you back up to the dam, where you can reach the beach or the car park(S/E).
