Start: Fixin town hall car park.
(S/E) With your back to the village hall, take the path on the right that goes into the woods towards Les Cent Marches on the Sentier de découverte.
Leave all the trailheads to the right and left and stay on the main path.
(1) At the top of Les Cent Marches, take the left-hand path for about 500 metres. At a fork, keep left and follow the white/blue signs. Pass the Combe Gourmand fir grove and follow the signs to the next crossroads.
(2) At a wider track, turn right and continue for 100-150 m, then turn left. Continue along this path around the Fortelle field, leaving all the tracks to the right. Pass an old dry-stone wall. Stay on this narrow path until you come to a wide white track.
(3) Cut this path to take the same white/blue path. 100m further on, cross another white path. Follow the white/blue markings again. Continue along this path, which turns right. At the next junction, turn left, then cut across a path to reach another junction.
(4) Turn right, the descent is quite steep for 100 metres, then continue left to descend the Combe Saint-Martin for about 1200 metres.
(5) At the fork in the road, turn left through the boxwoods towards the Chemin des Crêtes. Beware of slippery ground in wet weather.
Follow this ridge path for about 2km, always following the path closest to the ridge line on the right. At the very end, don't follow the signposted path back down to the road on the right, but take the grassy path opposite which leads down to the "Les Veroilles" vineyards. At the foot of the vineyard, take the white path on the right to reach the road (D31). Turn left for about 200m, then take the Rue Neuve on the left, then the Rue Haute through old Gevrey.
(6) At Château de Gevrey, continue left on Rue Yves de Poisey for 200 metres to reach a fork in the road. Turn left for 100 metres, then right at the small water tower onto the dirt track that runs behind a fine stone house. Follow this road to the village of Brochon via Rue du Capitot.
At the end of the Rue du Capitot, turn left twice, then left again to reach the Rue du 8 mai. Follow it to the right to join the Route des Grands Crus.
(7) Turn left and at Brochon town hall turn left onto a new vineyard path (Rue de Fontenotte) which leads to Fixin church.
At the church, continue to the crossroads and turn left up the D122B to the car park at the starting point.
