You can park in front of or behind Busy Town Hall, where parking is available free of charge.
As this route is a walk organised by Grand Besançon Métropole, you’ll find a map on a sign opposite the car park, yellow/blue markings along the entire route, and the first directional signpost bearing the name of the walk: Sentier de la Pierre des Vorges.
(S/E) If you have parked in front of the town hall, walk back along the D104 for 50 metres to go round the church. Follow the Chemin du Landoz, which runs behind the football ground, and at the junction, continue to the right onto the Chemin de la Criante.
(1) At the junction, head up to the right along the Chemin des Champs Sucray. When you reach the Bois de Gevrey, at the top of the hill, take the forest track on the far left, then quickly turn right to follow the path heading south-west.
(2) When you reach Vorges-les-Pins, turn right at the signpost and follow the “Sentier de la Pierre des Vorges” towards the Bois de Buis.
(3) In the Bois du Buis, stay on the path on the right towards the banks of the Doubs. At the next two Forks in the road, turn left.
(4) Cross the Ruisseau du Moulin Caillet via a wooden bridge and continue along the white path on the right, passing the Pierre de Vorges. You will then reach the banks of the Doubs.
(5) Turn right onto a small road which is the EuroVelo 6, linking the Atlantic to the Black Sea. Watch the waterbirds and admire the scenery of the Doubs valley; note the ruins of Montferrand Castle on the opposite bank.
(6) When you reach a car park, turn right onto the road leading up to Busy.
(7) At a place called Moulinot, turn right after the bridge towards a horticulturist’s greenhouses. Follow the path up towards the centre of Busy.
(8) When you reach the village’s main street, turn right towards the church tower to reach the car park (S/E).
