Saxby CP walks

This is a circular route taking in three villages and the route can be adjusted to have the start/finish at any one of them. The suggested route has a nice pub for a tasty half-way treat.

This walk passes through an area that was, until just a few decades ago, one of the most industrial parts of the Wolds. Today the Nettleton Valley is a grassy, peaceful picturesque place, and from the top, there are fine views towards the River Trent and Lincoln.

Branston, a small town on the outskirts of Lincoln. This short circular walk takes in some of the many historic events and people. Also, walking out toward farmland, with the large, relatively flat, open fields. Along Hall Lane, views of the old manor house, now a hotel, Branston Hall.

This Lincolnshire walk is somewhat different in that walkers can do some route finding for themselves. This is because Chambers Farm Wood has several self-guided, waymarked routes that can be used to vary my preferred route described below. Part of the walk follows quiet country lanes and traverses typical Lincolnshire countryside.
