Sauvenière and its countryside

A countryside walk with not too much elevation gain, ideal for stretching your legs in any season, but which can also be done in winter.
You’re unlikely to come across many people, apart from a few rabbits hopping about (in the distance) in the middle of the fields: it’s much easier to spot them on the snow than when they blend into the ground or hide amongst the vegetation.

Notes

One major drawback: the noise from the motorway when the wind is from the east.
Another, but only for those who dislike hard surfaces: there is a lot of tarmac and asphalt on this route.
Free parking on the village square. A few spaces are also available at the cemetery (560 metres from the square) in the event of an event taking place on the square.
Alternative start point from the free carpool facility at motorway exit no. 11 Thorembais-Saint-Trond
