Park in the car park opposite the former Loosthal Forest House (now the GORNA wildlife rescue centre).
(S/E) Take the narrow Loosthal discovery trail from the car park.

(1) Go past the first set of steps and walk past the pink sandstone rock formation to reach the beautiful viewpoint overlooking the old village and Petite Pierre Castle.
(2) Continue along the Heidekoepfel Trail towards the Imsthal inn.
At the end of the bend, the trail crosses the Losange Jaune trail. Continue straight ahead and turn right at the next crossroads.
(3) Head towards Muehlkopf, then at the first bend, go straight ahead between the bushes to reach the surprising viewpoint after 50 metres: you will instantly see the Kohlthal valley and its surrounding ponds.
(4) Continue along the circular Muehlkopf road and join the paved forest road.
(5) Take it on the right to reach the Cabane du Breitschloss (shelter and picnic area).

(6) Turn left onto the forest path for 75 metres until you reach a fork.

(7) Continue straight ahead to reach Rocher du Bélier (viewpoint and bench).
(8) Turn back to the previous fork before the hut.
(7) Turn right onto the forest path and continue towards Rocher du Saut du Chien (Hundsprung).
(9) Turn right onto the path towards the viewpoint.
(10) Retrace your steps.
(9) Continue right on the wide forest path until about 30 m before the paved forest road.

(11) Turn right. Descend the winding forest path marked Loosthal car park and continue to the crossroads at Lach (the puddle).
(12) Take the forest path on the right. Continue until you reach the forest path marked with a yellow easel.
Chevalet Jaune
(13) Turn right and continue until you reach the fork leading to Johannisthal Rock (bench and view of Hunebourg Castle).
(14) Note: From Johannisthal Rock, it is no longer possible to continue on the circular trail leading to Geierstein Rock: this area is of particular ornithological interest and is a protected biotope under a prefectural decree that prohibits all human activity.
Retrace your steps until you reach the forest path on the right leading to Hirschfels Rock.
Yellow Ring
(13) Turn right and after about 100 m, you will reach the Hirschfels rock and gazebo (shelter, picnic area, viewpoint).
(15) Continue on to the Finkenstein rock and then the Loosthal rock (lovely viewpoint over the Finkenthal valley). Join the tarmac forest road at the bottom of a second staircase.
(16) Follow the forest road for 120 m and take the staircase on the left.
(1) Continue to the right along the forest path to reach the car park (S/E).
