Start from the Albens community centre. Parking available nearby, at Place Montillet and around the centre.
(S/E) From the community centre, head towards Rue du Mont Blanc (D1201), follow it to the left, cross the level crossing carefully and turn left onto the road leading towards the cemetery.
(1) Go round the cemetery on the left and enter the Deysse State Forest. When you reach a stream, turn left and follow it straight on, then turn right along another stream to reach the fitness trail.
(2) Leave the banks of the stream, turn left and head towards the oil depot. Go round it and you’ll reach a level crossing near a body of water.
(3) Carefully cross the level crossing again and continue to the right along Route de Braille,passing a bread oven (Four de Braille) and a wash house, then turn right towards another level crossing.
(4) After crossing the level crossing, turn left along the railway line; opposite a mast, turn right, follow the Étang de Baille and arrive at a car park.
(5) Turn left onto the road, cross another level crossing and reach the D910.
(6) Cross it carefully at the marked pedestrian crossing, then follow the road as far as the cross and turn left. Walk past the Mazet bread oven, then join a road.
(7) Turn right, ignore the first road on the left and head up the path towards the hamlet of Ansigny. At the road, turn left.
(8) Before the Ansigny bread oven, turn right onto the road and take the path into the woods further along on the left as the road bends. Join the road towards Dressy.
(9) Follow this road to the left, then at the junction with the D54, turn right. Walk alongside the D54, then pass the Dressy bread oven and the chapel.
(10) Turn left and head up the narrow track towards La Croutade. Continue along the track to the left, which leads into the forest. After the water catchments, turn left.
(11) Walk past the Vernettes oven, then head down the road towards Collonges.
(12) After turning right onto the road, pass the Collonges oven, then head down the path. Keep to the right, then at Le Mollard, turn left to head down through the fields (with horses).
(13) Join the Route du Plateau on the left and follow it to the reservoir.
(14) Head down to the right onto the path which joins the Route de Pouilly and leads back to the centre of Albens. You’ll arrive at the École Primaire l’Albanaise.
(15) Walk past the school on the left, turn right onto Rue René Cassin, then left to cross the Jardin des Poètes.
(16) Carefully cross Rue du 8 Mai (D910) at the pedestrian crossing to reach the community hall (S/E).
