Parking spaces around the church in Chainaz-Les-Frassesses.
(S/E) Head due south to a three-way junction marked by a stone cross and take the left-hand path, which climbs slightly. After a few dozen metres, on the right, there is a view (weather permitting) of a small section of Lake Bourget, overlooked by the Dent du Chat. Continue to a three-way junction.
(1) Turn left and head towards the hamlet of Les Reys. Facing south, you can see Le Granier slightly to the right of the woods.
(2) In the hamlet, turn left onto a small tarmac road until you reach a three-way junction after the last houses. From here, straight ahead lies the Semnoz. Halfway up the slope, slightly to the right, stand the Tours Saint-Jacques and, to the right (due east), the Montagne de Banges.
(3) Leave the tarmac road, follow the path on the left which runs alongside a wood and continue to the (private) Château de Fésigny.
(4) Head straight down towards the north and the D253. Take a left-right turn and cross it carefully (signposted at the edge of a tree-lined field). Cross the small stream and reach the D53. Cross it carefully and pass through the hamlet of Bocquerat.
(5) Take the path (very wet in winter) which climbs north-west. After a few hundred metres, turn left onto a track in the middle of a field, then cross a small wood.
(6) At the exit, turn right and you’ll soon come to a tarmac road that leads left towards Chainaz-Les-Frassesses via Chez Duppasieux.
(7) At the small roundabout, in front of the village hall, head straight ahead, due south, following the D63. Leave it at a right-hand bend and follow a small road to the left (note: not the D63b towards the cemetery) until you reach a path on the left.
(8) Take this path and you will arrive at the car park near the church (S/E).
