Description of the walk

Park in the car park at Romanya de la Selva.

(S/E) Join the Calonge road to the north and cross it to rejoin theGR®92.1. Pass the Murtra menhir and, at the cemetery, continue to the left. Leave theGR® and turn right towards the Cova d'en Daina dolmen.

(1) At the dolmen, head off to the right and cross the road. At the junction, turn right and you’ll reach the first giant cork oak.

(2) Continue for about 100 m and turn right, towards the second dolmen. Turn back, take the path to the right and immediately head down to the left towards the field, then left again to follow its edge.

(3) At the del Prat fountain (dry today), admire the beautiful plane trees and the statue of the Virgin Mary, then head down to the left.
A minute further on, you’ll reach the second cork oak. Carry on to the third, then follow the path which climbs back up to a crossroads.

(4) Turn right towards Romanya de la Selva. Continue along the "ruta dels gégants bosc" and walk alongside the cypress trees until you reach the road. Follow the road to the left and enter Romanya de la Selva to return to the car park (S/E).

A lovely trail under the oak trees. A pleasant family walk where you can observe and discover the educational signs.

Early October, a quiet route
A very pretty, relaxing route, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, pleasant to walk, mostly through woodland, with the highlight being the EN Daina dolmen, and information boards along the route about the giants (menhirs, dolmens, cork oaks)
The walk is a bit short but provides a chance to rest between longer hikes

A pleasant route, very easy to follow with plenty of signposts and information boards. The monuments and vegetation are well worth a visit.
