The starting point is at the Schaeferhof football stadium. When you arrive at Neustadtmuhle on the outskirts of the village coming from Dabo, take the forest road towards Enteneck. The stadium is on the left below the road: easy parking.
(S/E) Opposite the stadium, turn left and cross the small bridge over the Zorn: follow the yellow disc markings.
(1) At the fork before the first houses, take a sharp right turn: yellow triangle.
(2) When you reach the stadium, turn left onto a wide, unmarked path. At the crossroads on the hill, go straight ahead to reach a carriageway.
(3) Take it to the right uphill, then arrive at a slight incline.
(4) Take the wide, unmarked path on the left and you will reach a small clearing at the edge of the forest: view of Schaeferhof and Haselbourg above; on the left, a religious building (grotto).
(5) Turn diagonally to the right, following the double markings of the Yellow Ring and Yellow Cross. Cross the forest road, head right for a few dozen metres, then turn left towards Heidenschlossfels. Turn sharply left at the crossroads and head for the magnificent viewpoint.
(6) Continue to follow the Yellow Ring and Yellow Cross markings until you reach a fork in the path.
(7) Turn left to follow the Circulaire du Baldur: Blue Ring. Continue to Geisterfelsen: remarkable rock and sandstone cliffs.
(8) Continue to the houses of Petit Ballerstain.
(9) Take the track on the left downhill and follow the Yellow Triangle towards Neustadtmuhle.
(10) Don't miss the small path on the left, clearly marked with a yellow triangle, and continue to the forest path at the foot of Geisterfelsen.
(11) Turn left and walk a few metres, then turn right again, following the yellow triangle. Join the RD45 at a bend.
(12) Cross it very carefully and rejoin the yellow triangle trail to Lochmuhl.
(13) Turn left, cross the Dabo stream, then turn left onto the yellow triangle trail running parallel to the road.
(14) Continue straight ahead, keeping to the Yellow Triangle, and rejoin the D45 at Neustadtmuhle: picnic spot.
(15) Carefully cross the district road, pass to the right of a restaurant, then take the Arbres et Pierres panoramic trail towards Rocher des Siamois. This well-marked trail joins a forest track which you follow to the left until the first junction.
(16) Turn right at the hairpin bend and reach a small intersection on the heights.
(17) Descend to the right towards Rocher des Siamois, which is little known to hikers. Retrace your steps and continue opposite on the Circulaire du Rocher des Siamois, marked with a yellow disc. You will reach an intersection.
(18) Take the track on the left towards Schaeferfof until you reach the forest road. Turn right, then continue left to return to the football stadium (S/E).
