Description of the walk

Departure from Tronquoy church. Free parking is available.

(S/E) Head west on Rue de la Croix de Pierre. At the crossroads, follow the sign for "La Blainau" and continue straight ahead until you reach the crossroads.

(1) Continue in the same direction on the stony path until you reach the entrance to the Bois du Pré Enclos. Pass the circular wooden structure on your left and go to a crossroads near a bench at the foot of a large oak tree marked 1622.

(2) Turn right. Follow the path on the right at the fork and continue zigzagging until you reach the edge of the woods:several remarkable trees are marked with white, blue and yellow paint. Then take the path that descends through the fields and joins a gravel path.

(3) Turn right at the hairpin bend and continue for about 300 m. Then turn right again onto the dirt track, following the red mountain bike sign with a triangle and two circles.

(4) Leave the dirt track and turn left, following the same signs until you reach the edge of the woods. You will cross a pine forest with a ground covered in blueberry bushes.

(5) Turn left and follow the stony path to the top of the hill.

(6) Take the dirt track on the right: it is the third on the right from the point (5).

(7) The path is more unclear at this point, near the large fir trees: veer right and continue straight ahead until you reach the clearing. You will see a lookout tower: follow the trail until you exit the woods.

(8) Leave the woods by turning right. Cross the Ruisseau de la Banibois to reach the asphalt road.

(9) Now it's time for a short break in Marnau. There is a picnic table in this area, which is maintained by the villagers. Then head back to the village, heading towards the houses and the wooden yurt. Follow the road straight ahead until you reach the church (S/E).
