This walk starts at Sète railway station.
(S/E) From the station, cross the Route de Cayenne and walk across the Pont de la Gare on the left-hand pavement to reach Quai Vauban.
(1) Turn left, walk along the Canal Latéral following Quai Vauban, then the Canal Maritime via Quai François Maillol until you reach the roundabout at the Pont de Tivoli.
(2) Cross Quai Maillol and head towards Quai Louis Pasteur. Along the Canal de la Peyrade, continue to the Pont de Pierre and, via Quai Rhin et Danube, return towards the Canal Maritime. Follow the Canal Maritime along Quai de la République and return to Quai d’Alger until the junction with Rue de la Savonnerie.
(3) Head west along Rue de la Savonnerie, then, after crossing the bridge of the same name, you will find yourself on the right bank of the Canal de Sète.
(4) Head south along Quai Maximin Licciardi. Walk past the fish market and, following Quai de la Consigne, reach Môle Saint-Louis.
(5) Walk along the jetty to the lighthouse. Enjoy the view of the harbour, Mont Saint-Clair and the town of Sète.
(6) Retrace your steps back to the roundabout.
(5) At the roundabout, leave the quay on your right and take the small lane leading to the Promenade Jean-Baptiste Marty. Walk along this shopping street to the Café de Paris. Heading north, follow the Canal de Sète all the way to the Pont de la Bordigue.
(7) Cross the bridge, take Rue Jules Vallès and turn left towards the Pont de la Gare.
(1) Cross the bridge to reach the station (S/E).
