The Balaruc-les-Bains circular walk

Car park at the Balaruc-les-Bains village hall, just on the right at the roundabout by the aquatic centre, as you leave Balaruc via Avenue de la Gare.

(S/E) From the car park, head towards the roundabout to join Rue de la Gare, walking alongside the tennis courts. Pass a second roundabout, and further on, turn right towards the Balaruc Post Office.

(1) At the old church and the post office, turn left onto Avenue des Thermes Athena.

(2) At the three-way junction, take the left-hand branch; there is a large car park on the right. Continue straight on for about another 50 metres, then turn left onto Avenue Pasteur Prolongée and cross the car park to reach the Promenade des Bains on the right.

(3) Follow it to the right as far as the Pointe de Balaruc.

(4) Continue along the Promenade Georges Brassens.

(5) At the end of this promenade, turn right onto Rue du Stade. Walk past the tennis courts, then turn left. Turn left onto Rue Pasteur, then immediately right, following the Résidence le Sévigné, and return to the original junction.

(2) Head left along Avenue des Thermes for 20 metres. Then turn left into Passage des Bains, walking past the Résidence les Bains on your right. Turn right, walk past the car park and join Rue du Mail.

(6) Cross this street and continue straight ahead to enter Parc Sévigné. Cross the park on the right-hand side and exit via Place Barbusse. Continue straight on along Avenue des Thermes Romains, then along Avenue de Montpellier. At No. 10, turn right onto Rue Victor Hugo; at the Fork in the road, turn right and continue for 50 metres.

(7) Turn left onto Rue du Pioch, then onto Rue du Pech d’Ay. At the end of this street, turn right, then left, onto Avenue de la Gare, to return to the car park at Place des Fêtes (S/E).
