Parking on the N893 near the bridge over the Semois.
(S/E) Cross the bridge over the Semois and walk up the street towards the church.

Take thesecond street on the right, Rue du Petit Culot, and go uphill. The road becomes a path. At the top, you will come to a cross at a place called "La Buchaille".

(1) Turn right and follow a long curve with no intersections.
(2) Join a path and continue straight ahead.
(3) At the fork, ignore the signpost and continue straight ahead.
No signposts
(4) Join a path and continue to the right. At the fork, continue to the right.
(5) At the next junction, take the path on the far right. An information sign at the entrance to this path warns of the difficulty of this section. It refers to walk 43, formerly 84.
The signposts are only visible in the opposite direction to ours. Go downhill and continue to the viewpoint.
GR®16
(6) After the viewpoint, you will come to the first ladder, followed by two more in quick succession. Pick up the red rectangular signpost 26, but not for long. Leave it at the large rock and follow the GR® signposts.
(7) Take the path along the large rock on the left. There is a viewpoint a few steps below. Continue downhill. You will come to another ladder and a long descent begins. Further on, you will come to some galvanised barriers. Follow them. Then continue along the path downhill as close as possible to the Semois and follow the river.
(8) Before the small concrete bridge over the ford, look for the hairpin bend on your left. Climb up, pass a clear-cut area with a superb view of the Semois valley you have just crossed, and pay attention tothe GR® markings, which zigzag a little. Continue climbing, following a forest path on your left, sticking mainly to the trail.

(9) At the top, at the crossroads, climb the embankment opposite (black marks on the trunks and/or rocks indicate the entrance to the old path to take) instead of the forest path on the right and theGR® markings. Above the embankment, head left and then turn right. Pass the Roche de l'Ermitage and then a shelter. At the fork, keep right. Continue on the trail that joins the forest path, which you follow to the left.
GR®16signpost
Turn right at the place called "Gérardfosse". Continue along the main path. At the end of the path, turn left. Go up and pass the animal park enclosures. The path becomes a road. Go straight ahead at the crossroads. At the next intersection, turn right. At the crossroads, go straight ahead.
(10) Pass the church in Rochehaut. Turn left towards Alle. Enjoy the view of Frahan. Continue to the car park and look for the path starting in the car park on the left. Go downhill, at the crossroads take the second left and then take the path downhill to the right of the signpost.
No signposts
Go down the path to the Semois river. Look for the entrance to the Ardoisière des Corbeaux, which has been converted into a bat refuge. Turn left and follow the river. A few footbridges and a staircase further on, you will find yourself in front of the main footbridge leading to Frahan.
GR®16signposting
Take the footbridge over the Semois. Go up the road. At the fork, turn left. Pass in front of the church.
(11) Take the path climbing up to the right.
Pass the "Rochers de Frahan" and then "La Gragnette", a rock shelter a few steps away. Pass "Plate Roche" and follow the ridge. At the fork, turn right, pass "Ronde Roche" then "Trou Perpète". Pass the rocks "Les Quatre Fils Aymon" and "Le Cheval Bayard". Continue to the ruins of "Château de Montragut" and climb the stairs.
Continue along the ridge and pass "Corps de Garde Dolmen". At the "Gué de Laviot-Frahan" crossroads, continue straight ahead up the embankment, with the path on the left of the rock. Further on, the path branches off to the right from another group of rocks. Go downhill.
(12) At the forest path, turn left and leave theGR®16.
No signposts
At the crossroads, continue to your right. Keep following the main path. Ignore the path on your right at the next fork and keep to your left. At the next crossroads, keep left again. At the road, turn right and then, at the junction with the N893, take the forest path opposite. Cross with caution and, at the fork, continue right on the main path.
(13) In the bend, after the red mountain bike signpost, take the path up the embankment on the left. Follow the ridge path.
(14) A path climbing up will come back on your right, ignore it and continue straight ahead. Immediately take the path to the right of the rocks and continue to the viewpoint of "La Chaire à Prêcher".
(15) Follow the path on the left and turn left again at the crossroads.
Pass the "Pic du Midi" viewpoint. Continue downhill, then turn left. Further down, at the next bend, look for the path on your right, marked by a cross. Head towards it and follow the path downhill to return to the car park (S/E).
