From Aigues-Vives, leave the D907 before La Caunette and take the D10 towards Minerve, which runs alongside the Gorges de la Cesse. Before arriving in Minerve, look for the hamlet of Mayrannes (on the right, higher up) and cross the small bridge over the gorges. Climb up to the hamlet and park above the houses.
(S/E) Follow the track west for 50 m and turn right onto a vague path that crosses the scrubland. Ignore the first two tracks on the right and left.
(1) Ignore the next track on the right and continue on the track on the left towards the west. Further on, the track makes a hairpin bend. Leave the track on the left to rejoin a stony track. Head opposite and follow the path that leads to the edge of the Brian Canyon. Follow the canyon on the right on a path that winds its way over sharp limestone pavement. Stay roughly close to the edge of the canyon until you reach the GR®.
White/red and yellow markings
(2) At the bend, descend to the left on a stony path and, at the next intersection, continue on the GR® trail to the right.
Yellow markings
(3) At the trail junction, ignore the GR® trail that branches off to the right and continue on the PR® (yellow markings). The trail descends, approaching the Ruisseau de Briant. Cross the Pont de Daniel and continue on the right bank of the Brian. The trail passes along the water's edge, a concrete dome (water catchment?) (4) and arrives at a track where there is a small building (water catchment). Continue along the track.

(5) At the first bend, take the path that branches off to the left. It crosses the Ruisseau de Baisière. A steep climb of a few metres through the undergrowth leads to the next intersection. The track on the right is now closed and blocked by pallets (private property). Continue straight ahead. Soon you will be walking along the Gorges de Brian high above. The trail runs along the top of a cliff, offering a beautiful view of the gorges, but some exposed sections may make people who are afraid of heights feel uncomfortable. There is no significant risk, but it is best to be aware of this. You will arrive at the paved road that leads into the town of Minerve.
White/red and yellow signposts
(6) Cross the village via Grand Rue, then Rue du Caire, where you turn left and follow the white/red markings that lead to the ramparts and a metal staircase. Go down it to reach the stream. Before going down these steps, it would be a shame not to explore the streets and alleys of the town, which are full of artists' shops, restaurants and ice cream parlours. The recently restored ramparts are also worth seeing.
No signposts
(7) Turn left to go back up along the stream on the right bank. The path follows the stream, sometimes climbing up terraces to avoid the water. A pile of large boulders marks the arrival at the Pont du Moulin. Climb up the path that leads to this bridge.
(8) After turning around on the bridge, follow the path that climbs a little, passes under the city ramparts and returns to the foot of the metal staircase used earlier.
(7) Cross the stream at two old stone bridge piers and climb the steps on the left bank. At the top, take the track that passes near a catapult and continue north-northeast.
(9) Turn 90° to the right onto the path that runs alongside a vineyard until you reach a track. Continue right on this track towards the north-northeast, ignoring the next three tracks on the left. When you see the houses of Mayrannes, turn left to return to where you parked your car (S/E).
