Description of the walk

Departure from the "Les Frélois" car park.

(S/E) Follow the signs for Chalets de Seytrouset along a track heading west-southwest. Continue climbing along this main track, ignoring all the side paths. You will arrive at the "La Chette" sign.

(1) Continue along the track to Seytrouset and its mountain pasture.

(2) Turn left towards Col de Seytrouset. Climb almost straight up the slope to the pass.

(3) Turn right towards Nifflon d'en Haut. The climb starts gently, then becomes steep. Go over a sort of hump and descend to the chalets of Nifflon d'en Haut (chapel). Cross the group of chalets.

(4) Then head right (north-east) towards the clearly visible summit. Go around Roc du Château on the left and continue climbing north-north-east to reach the summit of Pointe d'Ireuse (beautiful view).

(5) Turn around and descend via the same route back to the car park (S/E).
