In Saint-Brévin l'Océan, in the Pointeau district, park in the small car park on Chemin de la Marine.
(S/E) Go to the end of the street and take the coastal path on the left. You will soon reach the first bunkers at Le Pointeau.
(1) Continue along the path, heading south, with the ocean on your right. Further on, on the left, an opening in the fence allows you to climb up to other bunkers. Retrace your steps and continue along the path to quickly reach the marina. Continue in the same direction, cross the car park and reach the beach south of the sea wall.
(2) Continue along the beach, heading south, until you are blocked by the Boivre channel (please note: the maps are not up to date).
(3) Leave the beach via the access point on the left, cross the dune cordon and join the path marked in red and white by theGR®®8. Follow it to the left, through the dune undergrowth. At the road, first turn left then right.
(4) At the beach access point with an information panel on the flora of the dune undergrowth, turn left and walk back to discover the unwooded dunes and the wetland hidden there.
(4) Back on theGR®®, continue left until you reach the edge of the undergrowth.
(5) Leave theGR®® to reach the beach on the left. Follow it to return to the marina.
(2) Take the same route back to reach the Pointeau bunkers.
(1) You can return directly to the car park or, as suggested here, take a circular route to discover the new dunes forming north of Pointeau. Follow the beach north-east until you are blocked by the Courance channel (please note: the maps are not up to date).
(6) Turn right towards the land, then right again to return to Pointeau along the young dunes.
(1) Return to the car park (S/E) by retracing your steps.
