Park at Place Bougainville in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins.
(S/E) Head towards the seaside, go around the Nez de Chien and follow the coastline along theGR®8southwards for just over 2 km. Cross Rue de l'Église.
(1) Turn left onto Rue de l'Église and walk past the church.
(2) At the roundabout, continue straight ahead along Rue du Général de Gaulle. At the next roundabout, continue straight ahead along Rue Albert Chassagne until you reach the tunnel, about 600 m away. Pass under the Route Bleue expressway and, 100 m further on, turn left onto the path running alongside the Bodon, heading north. Take the fork in the path on the right and continue for about 250 metres.
(3) Look for the small path that branches off to the right and passes between houses, continuing straight ahead. Cross two streets in the housing estate and take the first path on the left, towards the water tower, until you reach Chemin du Plessis.
(4) Leave the water tower on your right and take a first turn right then left to take the path leading to the Plessis-Gamat menhir on your right. Follow the hiking trail on the left, which runs behind the houses. Turn right onto Rue du Sagittaire. At the end of this street, make a left-right turn and continue along Route du Rochaffais for about 450 metres. Exit a slight left-hand bend.
(5) Turn right onto Chemin de La Lambrossais, at the end of which turn left, then left again after 300 m. You will come to a crossroads.
(6) Continue straight ahead along Chemin des Grinchais, then Chemin des Champs Carrés until you reach the junction with Route des Hislettes. Turn left and continue for 150 m before turning right onto Chemin des Roches Plates until you reach Route de la Grand'ville.
(7) Take Route de la Grand'ville on the left, pass a lake on your left and continue to the D277 departmental road. Take care when crossing this road as there is quite a lot of traffic. Continue straight ahead along Chemin des Taillais until you reach the Métalu company.
(8) Leave the company buildings on your right and take Chemin de la Prairie de la Grand-ville on your left, which is also part of the "La Loire à vélo" cycle route. Take care of cyclists travelling on this route, which runs alongside the Loire to Saint-Brévin. Leave the Mindin retirement home on your left and continue to the Pont de Saint-Nazaire bridge.
(9) Leave the Loire by following the path on the left to Rue Bodon, then turn right and go under the motorway. About 20 metres after passing under the motorway, turn right onto the small sandy path that leads back to the banks of the Loire and follow the Loire path to Place Bougainville (S/E).
