Start: Park and start at the Piston Club at the Stag, Redhill, Alcester Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, B49 6NQ.
(S/E) Cross the main road with care and turn left. Where it starts to go downhill, find an uphill entry to the woods, go right and follow the edge of the field with the woods on your left. Continue next to the woods, following as the path veers left.
(1) At the Bridleway sign, turn left to enter the woods. Go downhill to a sign for Arden Way.
(2) Turn left and leave the woods through a metal gate, then continue to Walcote.
(3) At the road, go 20 metres left, then through a gate on the right. Look out for two yellow posts showing the route across a field and continue past the hedge before turning right for Haselor Church.
(4) Leave by the downhill path through the trees to the road (Croft Lane). Go left by the stocks and follow the road round the bend to the right.
(5) When the road bends left, go straight on to the track with the hedge on your right. Just before the road, cross over and, with the hedge on your left, reach the road gate. 50 metres to your left, take the drive on the right that leads under the A46 road.
(6) Go under the bridge and keep left to follow the edge of the woods on your right until they end, where you go right across a footbridge with the hedge on your left and continue to a lane, heading for a red-brick house.
(7) Turn right on the road and, past the 30 sign, take the path on the left, continue to 2 gates by houses.
(8) Go left downhill with the hedge on your right. Before going uphill, cross the wooden fence/stile to the right and, with the hedge on your left, go to the metal gate with a yellow post. Go diagonally right to a stile mid-hedge and again diagonally right to pass the house uphill.
(9) At the road, go left, then right into the path before the 30 sign. Follow the path, pass to the left of trees and a pond.
Go uphill towards a cottage with 2 dormers and a stone gable onto the road.
Walk 50 metres left and take a narrow path on the left opposite a broken garage door. Continue with the hedge on your right to a road (Croft Lane). Go left past May Barn to a path between wooden fences on your right.
(10) Turn right and follow the path. It twists left then right, over a footbridge with the hedge on your right, uphill and through a gap to the woods. Go right along the edge of the woods and, after a big tree in the field, aim right towards a wooden gate, go through the gap to the right of the gate.
(11) Continue to the road. Cross the road; the path soon enters some woods and bends left. Pass a fallen tree and look for a stile on the right out of the woods about 75 metres later.
(12) Exit the woods then keep left around the field and follow the track back to the start.(S/E)
