Description of the walk

Start at Rue du Lavoir, in the upper car park opposite the André Rocton sports hall.

(S/E) Head towards the municipal campsite. Cross Rue du Champ Passais, walk alongside the campsite and pass between the football pitch and the boules court. Turn left past a car park and join Rue du Stade. Follow it to the left and, at the four-way junction, turn right down Rue du Mont Margantin for 100 metres.

(1) Take the Voie Verte on the left, opposite the Point P shop. At the end, cross the D962 with care, continue straight on for 100 m, then turn left towards the small village of Saint-Front. Walk through the village and across the D22. Head up towards the Loge Coucou neighbourhood via Rue Commandant Moriceau.

(2) Veer slightly to the right to cross the D976 at the pedestrian crossing and pass through a grassy area on the right between the houses. At the end, turn left to follow the streets and paths through the houses, heading up to the Croix des Landes neighbourhood. You’ll emerge onto Rue du Maréchal Joffre (D908).

(3) Cross it carefully, walk along the right-hand side of the cemetery on the former GR®22 and continue to the end of the street.

(4) Turn left onto the road known as Chemin du Vélodrome. After 100 metres, turn right into the small wood: there’s a lovely view of Domfront. You’ll come to a road; follow it to the left, then turn right onto a track and walk for about a hundred metres.

(5) Turn left at La Noé Blanche and follow the path down to Rue Eugène Lelouvier.

(6) Head back up it to the left, towards the town centre. Go under the bridge on Rue de Godras and join Rue du Maréchal Foch (D976).

(7) Follow it to the right as far as the Crédit Agricole. Cross the road and head left down Rue du Mont Margantin for about 150 metres.

(8) Head down Chemin du Lavoir to the right and join Rue du Lavoir.

(9) At the washhouse itself, turn right to return to the starting point (S/E).
