Short circular loop around Lamblore via the Chemin du Mortripié

Starting from Lamblore Town Hall, this circular leads to La Ferté-Vidame, where you will find reminders of historical figures: The Dukes of Saint-Simon, the father, who after acquiring the estate had the parish church built, and the son, the famous memoirist, the Marquis de Laborde, who had a sumptuous palace built, the romantic ruins of which still remain, and laid out a huge park. King Louis-Philippe wanted to restore this building, which had been dismantled after the Revolution, to its former glory, but he was only able to build the "Petit Château" (small castle)...
A detailed tour of the village and park is a must. The return journey takes you past the former Citroën test centre, a mecca for the automotive industry. This is where the most famous models of the chevron brand were developed: the Traction Avant, the 2CV, the DS, the Ami 6, the SM...
After passing the Champ-Brulé equestrian centre, the route returns to the village via the beautiful Chemin du Mortripié, which has been reopened by the local council.

No signposting

(S/E) From Lamblore Town Hall, walk down towards the pond and the church. Cross the Lamblore stream. Cross the D4 carefully and take the D102.2 opposite towards the Lamblore cemetery. Walk alongside the cemetery and continue to the junction with the D102. You will find the access point to La Ferté-Vidame on the GRP® Vallées de la Blaise et de l'Avre and a PR®.

Yellow and red + yellow markings

(1) Turn right and follow the road to La Ferté-Vidame cemetery. Continue straight ahead until you reach the stadium.

(2) Turn right onto the embankment of the old La Loupe-Verneuil railway line. At the end, go down to the left and continue along the tarmac road to the entrance to the village. Turn right and, via Rue de la Satinerie and Rue Pierreuse, reach Rue de Laborde near Place Louis-Philippe, where the town hall is located.

(3) Follow Rue de Laborde to the left until you reach the park entrance: Tourist Office, toilets, picnic tables. After visiting the park and the village, follow the D941 towards Senonches, taking the pedestrian crossing on the left. At the end of this path, continue to follow the road carefully for 750 m without crossing it. Pass in front of the Champ Brûlé equestrian centre.

No signposts

(4) At the corner of the fence, turn left onto the path and follow it (Chemin du Mortripié) between the fields, straight ahead, until you reach a large path at the edge of a wood. You will find the GRP® access point at La Ferté-Vidame and the PR®.

Yellow and red + yellow markings

(5) Turn sharply left. Continue straight ahead towards a chicken coop and when you reach it, the path turns right and leads to the hamlet of La Jaltière. At the road, turn left and walk a few metres along the road until you reach the next street on the right.

No markings

(6) Leave the GRP® and PR® and follow this street, on the right between the houses. Continue along the path that leads to the road you have already taken, just before the Lamblore cemetery. Turn right and take the same path you took on the way there, in the opposite direction, which passes in front of the church and goes up opposite to the town hall (S/E).
