Park near the Cité du Vin, or take the Tram B to the Cité du Vin stop. You can also take the river transport for the price of a bus ticket and get off at the Bat3 pier.
(S/E) Start by visiting the pretty garden next to the Cité du Vin. Cross the bridge next to the Cité du Vin and take the pretty path that runs alongside the Garonne, immediately on your left. Then cross the Jacques Chaban-Delmas Bridge via the tunnel. Walk along the quays, then turn right between Hangar 18 and Hangar 19, cross the Quai de Bacalan and continue left for 80 metres. Before No. 44, turnright ontothe small Rue Bense, which begins with a short tunnel, then turn right onto Rue Gustave Gounouilhou. Continue left onto Rue Delord and quickly turn left, crossing the esplanade to Rue Chantecrit. Turn right, then quickly left onto Rue Émile Peynaud and enter the large, recently built square: the Jardin de ta Soeur.
(1) Cross it and exit on the right onto Rue Dupaty, then take thefirst left and continue along Rue Chantecrit for 300 metres before entering Parc Chante-Grillon (single entrance).
(2) Continue along Rue Chantecrit to the crossroads, then turn right onto Cours du Raccordement and continue for 200 metres before turning right onto Rue Armand Dulamon. Take thefirst left onto Rue Boileau (toilets nearby), then take the first right onto Rue Bourbon, turn left onto the pretty, quiet and tree-lined Sente des Carrelets. Turn left onto Rue Lucien Faure and walk 50 metres before turning right onto Cours Henri Brunet towards the submarine base. Cross the floating docks, then take the path on the left next to the monumental submarine base, a remnant of theSecond World War. You can visit the brand new Submarine Base Park.
(3) Follow Allée Alexandra David-Néel, which runs alongside Cours Brunet, then continues behind a building before turning right onto Rue Michel Slitinsky and reaching a roundabout.Turn left onto Cours Dupré de Saint-Maur and continue for 400 metres before turning right onto Rue Charles Martin. On your right is the Charles Martin Municipal Stadium, which is closed at night. Follow Rue Charles Martin to the end and cross Rue Achard (tramway). Opposite, take Impasse Amédée Jouandot to discover Bacalan Park, which is open
permanence.
(4) After your visit, walk up Rue Achard on the left for 250 metres, then turn right onto Rue Charlevoix de Villers and cross the pretty Place Adolphe Buscaillet (unfortunately, the building is poorly maintained).
(5) Continue along Rue de New-York for 50 metres, then turn left and walk 500 metres along the peaceful and flower-filled Sente des Radoubs. Turn left onto Rue des Étrangers until you reach Rue Achard and the pretty little Place des Vivres de l'Art , which features metal sculptures. Continue right on Rue Achard until you reach La Cité du Vin (S/E).
