Via Le Plessis and Pouchard to La Bosse-de-Bretagne

This unmarked route will allow you to explore the hills and valleys to the east of La Bosse-de-Bretagne, and enjoy views over part of the Semnon valley and the motocross track.
It follows a number of paths through the villages of La Bosse-de-Bretagne and Tresbœuf.
4.8 km of tarmac (local roads), gravel tracks and dirt tracks.

Description of the walk

Start from the sports ground car park, Rue du Presbytère.

(S/E) Turn right heading north towards the Croix Guénard until you reach the first road on the right.

(1) Turn right, heading east towards Les Cours Luniaux, and pass through the hamlet.

(2) Turn left onto a straight track that climbs northwards and joins the Chemin de la Croix Guénard (a muddy track in winter).

(3) Turn right towards the east and continue to the D47.

(4) Cross it carefully and arrive at Plessis Neuf. Follow the local track southwards, cross the Ruisseau des Noës and come out onto a road.

(5) Follow it to the right as far as Haute Belandière.

(6) Turn left, go down the path and then back up to the next junction (view of the old Cleray mill).

(7) Take the local track to the left heading east for 200 m towards La Touche Morel. Turn right onto thefirst track called “Les 4 Chemins”, which descends towards a pond and the Ruisseau des Bruères.

(8) Cross the stream, pass under a power line and arrive at Haut Verrion.

(9) Follow the road to the right, heading north-west, until you reach the junction near Sourg.

(10) At the cross, turn left onto the track called “Vallée du Semnon”, which curves to the right.

(11) Turn left towards Semnon for about 200 m.

(12) Head up the track on the right, then follow the road to Pouchard.

(13) Cross the D82 carefully, then continue straight ahead along the road, pass through the village of La Touche and carry on until you reach a Fork in the road near a power line.

(14) Turn right towards the north, cross the Ruisseau des Bruères again and, a little further on, you’ll reach a junction.

(15) Turn right towards the east, then turn left, heading north, and join the D47.

(16) Cross it carefully, take Rue de l’École opposite; at the bend, continue straight ahead along a path and cross Rue du Presbytère. Head straight ahead, go through the small gate next to the cross, cut across Rue de la Perrière and return to the sports ground car park (S/E).
