Description of the walk

Start from the car park along the Route Départementale 82 at the bottom of Pouchard.

(S/E) Head south, cross the Semnon and carefully cross the D53. You’ll come to some farm buildings.

(1) Head east, turning left towards Bas Germigné, then southwards to the D82.

(2) Cross it carefully and take a path that descends southwards, crossing the Ruisseau des Pierres Grises (part of the Route des Pierres Grises).

(3) Head east, turning left, to the hamlet of La Fontaine.

(4) Taking a left then a right, cross the D82 with care. From here, follow the Circuit des Asphodèles, which passes through Val-Giffard, La Bardoulais, La Dieubrie and the Moulin de Pussac (the section betweenLa Dieubrie and the Moulin de Pussac may be difficult to navigate in winter).

(5) At the Moulin de Pussac, head north (to the left), cross the Semnon again and look out for a small path on the left.

(6) Follow this small path uphill to the Haut Pussac local road, then follow it to the left (westwards) until you reach the next junction.

(7) Turn right, heading north, towards the Lande de Pussac.

(8) Take the D53 to the left for 50 metres, cross it carefully and head up the small road opposite. At the fork, continue to the right until you reach the crossroads.

(9) Head west, turning left, passing through the hamlets of Haut Verrion and Bel Air until you reach a path on the left near a cross.

(10) Follow this track southwards, then turn right onto the track marked ‘Vallée du Semnon’.

(11) Head down to the left, southwards towards Semnon, for 200 m.

(12) Follow the track to the right towards Pouchard for 200 m, then turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
