Description of the walk

Start from the car park at the sports hall.

(S/E) Cross Rue du Chêne Vert carefully at the pedestrian crossing, turn right into Rue des Canaries and then left into Impasse du Muguet. Join Rue des Tilleuls (D93) and follow it to the right for almost 100 metres.

(1) Turn left onto Rue des Chardonnerets until you reach the next street on the right, Rue de la Fontaine Neuve.

(2) Walk straight down this street through Les Chambrettes, past La Goupillère, until you reach the start of a footpath on the left.

(3) Take this path eastwards until you reach the next junction.

(4) Turn right, heading south, onto a country lane, cross the Ruisseau des Orgeries and continue to the next junction.

(5) Turn left, heading east along the local track, until you reach the next junction at La Fléchais.

(6) Turn left onto a country lane, cross the Ruisseau des Orgeries again and proceed to the next junction at Haut Perray.

(7) Turn left onto a country lane which will take you to the D47 via La Moncellière.

(8) Follow this departmental road to the right for about 500 m. Take care, as there is a lot of traffic.

You can walk round the Moncellière village pond (+ 800 m)

(9) Take the small track on the left, pass La Beltière then Chevru and arrive at some orchards.

(10) Near the orchards, take the farm track on the left, then the one on the right, passing the wayside shrine, La Morinais, La Bleure, Les Touchettes (an unusual earthen bus shelter) and Les Cours Andouards.

(11) At Les Cours Andouards, turn left onto a farm track; at the bend, take the footpath (very wet in winter) which leads, via the sewage treatment works, to Bois Oger and the D47.

(12) Take the D47 to the right, heading west as you go up through the village.

(13) Pass the church on your right and continue straight on along the D47 until you reach the starting point (S/E).
