Park in Gaujac in the car park on Avenue des Écoles
(S/E). With your back to the car park, take the path opposite you to the south of Place du Bicentenaire. Turn left onto Chemin des Écoles, then right onto Route de Gaujac (D310). Continue straight ahead, ignoring the streets on your left, until you reach an intersection with a cross on your right.
(1) Turn left onto the D310. At the intersection that immediately follows, turn left and then immediately right onto a forest road. Stay on this road for about 750 metres, ignoring a road on the left and then a road on the right.
(2) When the forest road turns left, continue straight ahead on Chemin de la Capelle. Pass two paths on your left, cross the Veyre riverbed three times and arrive at the Capelle intersection.
(3) Continue along Chemin de la Capelle in front of you towards Plan de Veyre. Stay on the main path, ignoring all the side paths. Cross the stream bed four more times. After a sharp right turn, you will come to an intersection directly above Plan de Veyre.
(4) Turn slightly right towards the woods without crossing the stream bed. Continue north then west-northwest for about 800 metres.
(5) Turn right at the intersection and continue for about 800 m until you reach a carriage road, ignoring the paths branching off to the right or left.
(6) Turn right and follow the road to a crossroads (ignore the paths branching off to the right).
(7) Take the second road on the right and continue until you reach the Oppidum intersection.
(8) Turn right to visit the Oppidum and then retrace your steps.
(8) Take thesecond road on the right, a small downhill road. Pass a forest barrier and make a hairpin turn to the right. Continue downhill along the road.
(9) At the entrance to Gaujac, turn right and head towards the Saint-Saturnin Chapel.
(10) Retrace your steps.
(9) Turn right. At the T-junction that immediately follows, turn left and then immediately right onto Chemin de l'Oppidum. Cross a stream. At the next junction, go straight ahead until you reach the junction you passed on the way there.
(1) Then turn left. Ignore a turn-off on the right. At the T-junction, turn right twice and follow Chemin de Barbotte.
(11) Take thefirst right, Avenue des Écoles, then thefirst left, Rue de la Pousterle. At the crossroads, turn right and you will soon reach the car park (S/E).
