The route starts at the small pass on the outskirts of Les Baux-de-Provence, on the D27, towards Maillane. There are a few parking spaces in the bend in the road on the right.
(S/E) Take the tarmac road that branches off to the left, heading west, for 150 m.
To avoid the long circular route on the road, take the path that branches off to the left.
(2) 40 m after rejoining the road, take the path on the right, which is blocked by a barrier.
(3) At the crossroads, join theGR®®6. Follow it for about 1.5 km. It is possible to cut across the bends via small paths at various points.
(4) At the three-way junction, leave theGR®® and follow thePR®®, marked in yellow with few markings. The path climbs to the left towards Saint-Étienne-du-Grès and more or less follows the Crêtes des Alpilles.
It is also possible to continue on theGR®®, which you will find further on.
(5) Continue straight ahead on the path.
''At this point, you can take the path on the right to shorten the route by joining theGR®®6at Gaudre des Traversières.
(6) Continue straight ahead until you reach a barrier. Continue for about 20 metres after the barrier, then take the path on the right.

(7) Join theGR®®6and follow it downhill to the right. Arrive at the car park at the bottom of the Graude des Traversières valley.
(8) Continue to follow theGR®®6to the right, leave a track on the right and continue to a fork with a path on the right at elevation 80.
(9) Continue for 150 m on the GR®®.
(10) Leave theGR®® and take the path on the left. Green signs indicate Plan Redon and Citerne 159 de Plan Redon.
(11) At the cistern, take the path below and follow the green signs for Notre-Dame du Château. You will reach a fork at elevation 60.
(12) Take the path on the left to climb up to the Notre-Dame du Château chapel. On the way, you will find the ruins of a troglodyte hermitage, the Grotte de la Vieille.
When you reach the chapel, continue climbing the rocky outcrop for a beautiful view of the Durance and Rhône valleys. On a clear day, you can see Mont Ventoux.
(13) Retrace your steps back to the crossroads.
(12) Continue left on the path that descends to a small road, which is the Old Roman Road from Arles to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
(14) Follow this road to the right, which is very quiet, for about 1.2 km until you reach the junction with a small road coming from the left from the village of Mas Blanc des Alpilles at an altitude of 42 metres.
(15) Immediately after the crossroads, take the path on the right, go through a gate, and immediately afterwards, take the path on the left that follows the bank of the Canal des Alpilles. Follow it for about 2 km.
(16) Cross the canal on the right via a small bridge with iron railings. Continue for 70 m, then take the path on the left which turns 90° to the right after another 50 m.
(17) Go around a small house that has just been renovated and continue on the same path to the right. Pass by a round building.
(18) At the crossroads, continue uphill, passing through the barrier.
(19) At the junction with the path coming from the valley (GR®® 653D), continue straight ahead uphill.
(20) Ignore the two paths branching off to the right and follow the leftmost track (GR®®6) to a fork at elevation 241.
(21) Ignore the track branching off to the left. Continue straight ahead on theGR®®6and reach the small pass at the exit of Les Baux-de-Provence (S/E).
