Access: One of the car parks at the Carrières de Lumières site on the D27.

(S/E) Regardless of which car park you use, the hike starts opposite the entrance to the Carrières de Lumières site. Stay on the side of the road, move a few metres to the right and take the path, which is quite steep and slippery with a chalky appearance. After this short steep section, the path splits in two under a dead pine tree. Take the right-hand path and continue climbing. Further up, ignore two paths on the right (they only lead to viewpoints) and continue on the left-hand path, which follows the contour of the ground on this section. The path, which is rutted in places, leads to a small track in the same condition.
(1) Note a small shed on the left, which must be an old electrical transformer (a repainted sign on the door reads "Danger haute tension" [High voltage danger]). Ignore the path opposite and turn right. Continue climbing up this small, rough track. In a large loop, it passes under the promontory of the oppidum (not visible at this level). On the right, note a few gaps offering an unusual view of the village.
(2) After the bend, turn left towards what looks like the start of a track (cairn and large green dot). At the end of this space, you can see the fortified site of Les Bringasses through the pine trees. Take some time to visit the site and admire the view.
After your visit, return to the abandoned track.
(2) Turn left.
"Wild" markings (large green dots on the ground)
Note: From here, look out for large green dots on the ground, especially at crossroads, which can be described as "wild markings".
Shortly afterwards, ignore a track on the left that leads to technical antennas. After a descent, at a crossroads, leave a track that descends to the left (be careful, there are also green dots) and climb up the one opposite (green dots). Ignore a path on the left that climbs up a hill (not marked on the map). Stay on this relatively good track, which climbs steadily before descending again. Leave another track on the left (you have to be well ahead to see it). You will come to a larger track where theGR®6passes. Note the buried cistern on the left at the fork (marked 50 on the access hatch).
White and red markings (GR®6)
(3) Turn left. Shortly afterwards, ignore a track on the left that descends towards "Les Baux par Val d'Enfer" (signpost), keep tothe GR® and this good track. Go through a barrier. After this barrier, leave the track and climb up to the right to the viewpoint where the orientation table was located (360° panorama). Go back down the track you left earlier on the left side of the promontory, facing Les Baux (be careful, it's a bit steep).
Variation: at this point, you can combine this circuit with another one called "Splendid panoramic views of Les Baux de Provence". Simply ignore point (4) of this circuit and continue from point (3) of the other circuit.
In this case, the route is 6 km long, with an elevation gain of 161 m and a duration of 2 hours and 5 minutes.

(4) Take the track that descends opposite after passing through a barrier. The track winds its way down to the bottom of the valley ignored above (Val d'Enfer) and a crossroads of tracks. Turn right and descend this valley. About 400 m further down, it joins the D27.
(5) Turn left to return to the "Carrières de Lumières" site (S/E).
