(S/E) Park at Place Bailly and head towards the basilica.
(1) Take the Passage du Séminaire to the right of the basilica and turn into the first street on the left, then join the D977. Continue to the right until you reach Rue du Maréchal Tourville.
(2) Go up this street on your left, which leads to Rue de la Tourbière, and pass by the retirement home.
(3) Cross the railway line and immediately take the path on your right that leads to the fields. When you reach a small tarmac road, turn right and continue to the entrance to the woods.
(4) Turn left (bench) and enter the woods. On the right-hand side of the path, a footpath with information about the site offers views of the ponds. Continue straight ahead for 2 km to reach the Le Marais Saint-Boëtien path.
(5) Take this path on the right for 600 metres, then turn right again to follow the Souche river (do not cross the bridge) for about 1,500 metres until you reach a bend.
(6) Take a path on the right (marked by a small yellow square on a post with a salamander figure) and pass between the ponds. The path veers to the left; continue until you reach the edge of the woods. Then turn right and you will find the bench you passed on the way there.
(4) Continue along the road (you will come to another bench), keep going and do not turn left or right. When you reach a T-junction, turn left until you reach the railway line.
(7) Cross the railway line, turn right onto Rue Chaussée du Regain, then left at the end. Cross the D977 and take Rue de la Poste directly opposite.
(8) About 80 metres after turning left before a small square, continue along what appears to be a dead end. At the end on the left, a small passageway leads to the post office. Turn right and you will arrive in front of the abbey. Continue on to Place Bailly and the starting point (S/E).
