The Belvédère du Diable and the Chalet de Carach from Quillan
A challenging hike if you choose the circular Belvédère du Diable with its high, airy viewpoint! The route takes you through forests, along tracks and paths, with the amazing Chalet de Carach, the villages of Belvianes and Cavirac to discover, and a return trip along the Aude river: magnificent!

The Barrenc de Picaussel chasm from Belvis
This easy hike takes you through the woods above Belvis, alternating between footpaths and forest roads. There are some beautiful views of the region, as well as the Barrenc de Picaussel chasm. The chasm, located at the edge of the path, is very well secured (barriers and gates prevent accidents).
The Crête de Bouichet circular from Fa
A circular aerial loop offering superb views of the mountains surrounding Quillan and Nébias and two villages, Fa and Rouvenac, with very discreet charms that are worth discovering. A small plateau with aerial solitude: pure bliss.

Chalabre: Greenway and Montbel Lake
This moderately difficult route starts at the old Chalabre railway station on the line that used to connect Mirepoix to Lavelanet, now a greenway. It follows the Hers river, which feeds the Lac de Montbel, crossing two dams before returning to the old Chalabre station after passing through some woodland. It offers views of the Pyrenees and the Lac de Montbel.
The Bélesta Forest
A pleasant route, admittedly long but peaceful, which will allow you to discover the ancient Royal Forest of Bélesta, with the added bonus of a visit to the incredible intermittent fountain of Fontestorbes.

Tour of Lake Montbel
A pleasant walk around Lake Montbel. You will pass several dams with beautiful views.
Enjoy the activities around the lake: swimming, water sports, fishing.
A lovely shaded walk in the coolness of the lake during the summer months.
Pic de l'Ourtiset
This route takes you through an exceptional site with its mountain landscapes, fauna and flora. From the summit, you can see the whole of the Pays de Sault, the Ariège and Catalan Pyrenees and, if visibility is good, the Pic de Bugarach above the Carcassonne plain and the Montagne Noire.
Pic des Rives
A beautiful circular starting from Lake Belcaire, towards Pic des Rives (1,436 m), which offers a magnificent panorama of the Pyrenees peaks and Bugarach in the Aude. A shorter alternative route is possible by descending after the bench (3); it offers a view of the lake and Belcaire: the route can then be taken in the opposite direction.
Puilaurens Castle
An easy hike, partly through the woods, suitable for families. Most of the hike is on a track. You can visit the castle (check opening times). It is closed in winter.
La Digne-d'Aval circular
A short walk in the Limoux region through the valleys of its vineyards with beautiful panoramic views.

La Serre des Aiguilles, viewpoint overlooking Puilaurens Castle
This short forest hike will take you to the top of a hill with a magnificent view of Puilaurens Castle. It is an interesting addition to a visit to the castle.
Circular of Saint-Polycarpe via Villar-Saint-Anselme
This amazing circular takes you through Mediterranean heath and the Blanquette de Limoux vineyards.
Starting from the village of Saint-Polycarpe with the remains of its 8th-century Benedictine abbey, the route crosses the communal forest and the village of Villar-Saint-Anselme.
At the end of the route, there is an arboretum sponsored by Yves Duteil.

Circular above the Col du Pradel
A short circular half-day loop starting from a little-known pass between Aude and Ariège, with magnificent views. Recommended in spring (as soon as the snow has melted) and autumn, or even in summer if it is not too hot.
