A long day travelling by 4x4 and bus.
(S) We set off in a 4x4 along a rather bumpy track, reaching Kagbeni after a few jolts.
(1) A spot of sightseeing in this very colourful town, then on by 4x4 to Jomoson and its airfield.
(2) Transfer by traditional bus for a long journey ending in Tatopani (E).
This journey was made by road. Admittedly, it cuts the trek short a little, but this valley is very long, dusty and not particularly interesting; except that we missed out on the magnificent village of Marpha, but after the gruelling day on the Thorung Pass, this journey through Nepal in the typical buses is also worth a detour.
A remarkable visit to the large village of Kagbeni on the banks of the Khali Gandaki and the southern gateway to Mustang.
