Park on the ridge road above the junction with the road leading to Mont Thou.
(S/E) Start the ascent of Mont Thou via the tarmac road (watch out for cars, bikes, motorbikes... this coexistence will not last long...)
Reach the orientation table and enjoy the view stretching from Lyon to the Alps in good weather.
(1) Then set off again on the path that descends through the field just below the orientation table.
(2) At the crossroads, take the path that goes through the bushes and into the undergrowth, and follow this single track until you reach the road at a crossroads and car park. Take the road opposite that descends towards the hamlet of Mont Thou.
(3) Take the path on the left to reach a field. Follow the path on the right to reach a wide track that will take you to the entrance to the hamlet of Mont Thou. Walk up through the hamlet towards the road, which you will follow to the bend.
(4) Take the path down towards Clos de la Rosette. Follow this path and admire the stone drystone shelters that line it. They have been restored by local associations. You will come to a wider path. At this point, go up to the right until you reach the ridge road.
(5) Turn right to follow the ridge road for about a hundred metres and take the road on the left. Immediately turn right to cross a small hamlet and rejoin the ridge road. Then turn left.
(6) In the bend, climb up the hard shoulder to rejoin the poorly surfaced road known as 'de Saint-Cyr à Poleymieux'. Then continue straight ahead until you reach the starting point (S/E).
