The route starts from the Nkolbisson crossroads (S), at 100 CFA francs per person by motorbike from the MEEC crossroads.
Those who are familiar with the area can go directly to the point (2), which is the starting point of the hike.
For others, head towards the Catholic University of Central Africa (1), then towards the Sisters' Hospital located just before the point (2). This point is the starting point of the hike, where you will find a football field and a beautiful view of the western flank of Mount Akok Ndoé.
From the starting point to the point (4), you will take an easily passable path, which will offer you a beautiful panoramic view.
From point (4) to the summit (5), the path becomes a trail and the vegetation becomes increasingly dense. Be careful not to miss the intersection at point (4), where you will switch from a fairly wide path to a small trail that begins with rocks.
At the summit (5), you will not be rewarded with a 360° panoramic view; you will be surrounded only by forest and will have to content yourself with the satisfaction of having reached the top of Mount Mbog-Doum!
There is no point in continuing beyond this point (5), as the path continues but leads to nothing but forest. We tried to find a path leading to the other side (Mendong district) but to no avail. After talking to a local resident, we learned that there is no such path... You will therefore have to take the same path you came up to descend.
