Departure from Agos-Vidalos town hall. Parking is available opposite the town hall.
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, follow Avenue du Lavedan (D921b) to the right towards Argelès-Gazost for 700 m. Then turn left after the Domaine de la Tour campsite. Follow Chemin du Canal for 150 m, then take the path that climbs up to the Vidalos Tower.
(1) Once at the foot of the tower, climb the stairs inside the tower to see this magnificent panoramic viewpoint.
To return, follow the path behind the tower (opposite the path you arrived on), then descend to the main road (Avenue du Lavedan). Cross it carefully, turn left, pass the Vidalos bus stop and take the first right onto Rue du Bousquet, then pass a fountain.
(2) Once you have passed the fountain, turn right and take the path that runs between the houses. This path will fork several times: at the first junction, turn left, at the second junction turn left, at the third junction follow the sign for "Agos" which points to the left, at the fourth junction turn right and when you reach the tarmac road, turn right. Then take Rue de Porteourat, which climbs up to the left, and continue to the church in Agos. Enjoy the view!
(3) Then go back up Chemin de Catibère on the left to reach the Catibère fountain.
(4) Take the path on the right (do not go up the steps). Follow this path downhill for 300 m until you reach Chemin des Vignes and follow it until you reach a roundabout.
(Note: you will come across a path that branches off to the left. You can take this path to see the village's "chasm". It is a pretty watering hole which, according to legend, is inhabited by fairies. To return, you will need to retrace your steps as it is a dead end. Descend towards the rest area at the Porte des Vallées des Gaves. You will find some information panels about the reserve and the geology of Pibeste.)
(5) Take the main road (Avenue du Lavedan) for about 350 m until you reach the Chez Pierre d'Agos hotel and restaurant, then turn left onto Chemin du Lavoir and turn right until you reach the wash house.
(6) Continue straight ahead, return to the main road (Avenue du Lavedan) and turn left to find the town hall of Agos-Vidalos (S/E).
