The route is easy but some sections can be tricky in wet weather.
Start from the Kercabellec car park (south of Rue du Port) in front of the Retailleau establishments.
(S/E) Head south to cross the Étier de Ker Croisé bridge.
(1) Turn right immediately after. Follow the small path along the marshes until you reach the road at the entrance to Quimiac.
(2) Cross and continue almost opposite, still following the marsh, the Étier de la Saline Creuse.
You will arrive at the road (RD52-452).
(3) Turn left for 100 m, cross the road, and turn right onto the path that descends towards the marsh and joins the village of Kerguilloté.
For this part of the countryside, follow the road to the left for about 1 km until you reach a crossroads.
(4) Continue right, pass the Ferme Neuve and turn left onto a farm track that leads to the D52. Follow it to the right for 150 m.
(5) Leave it on the left to reach the Domaine de Villeneuve, a housing estate which you cross to reach the sea and a stele slightly to the left.
(6) Now the route takes the coastal path on the right, runs along Lanséria beach, goes around the Pointes de la Croix, Beaulieu and Touru, follows the Baie du Cabonnais and Sorloc beach to reach the Pointe de Merquel.
(7) Enjoy the observatory offering a panoramic view of the coast and the estuary before setting off again along the path (GR®34) that runs alongside the Traict de Merquel to the port of Kercabellec.
The second part of the circuit takes us through working salt marshes.
(S/E) Head south-east. At the next crossroads, follow signs for Kervarin (via the VC 205).
(8) In the village of Kervarin, take the path on the right.
(9) At this intersection, continue straight ahead on the same path that leads to Île du Rostu.
(10) There, between the marshes and oyster farms, observe the seabirds. Retrace your steps along the marsh to the village of Rostu.
(9) Follow the small road on the left until you reach the D52b (Avenue de Bretagne), heading south-west.
(11) Follow it to the right until you reach the small village of Mesquer.
(12) Turn right onto Route de la Gambade until you reach the village of Kercabellec and (S/E).
Very beautiful route but very wet on the marsh side at this time of year.
