Loch Teacuis

Hikers are free to turn back at (E) or to continue first along a well-marked path and then along a much less frequented and less visible path towards the abandoned hamlet of Dorlin, facing the island of Oronsay.
From there, it’s even possible to return to Drimnin via a ‘good’ stony track, possibly passing through Auliston Point (another detour along a path that’s sometimes well-marked, sometimes less so) … but given the total distance, it’s best to arrange for two vehicles.

A quick reminder for the forgetful: it is forbidden to park on the ‘passing places’ along ‘single-track roads’ or on ‘slipways’, as these areas are reserved exclusively for vehicles to pass each other and for long vehicles to turn round, respectively.
Please note that the road leading to the starting point is prone to flooding, so it is not uncommon to have to drive through one or two sections of water along Loch Arienas.
