(S/E) Park near the wash house between the Nouzilly Pond and the D5. On foot, from the wash house, head east to cross the Petite Choisille, then immediately turn right onto a path that runs along the left side of the pond. When the path joins the road, continue on the right-hand side of the road along a small path through the woods. This path eventually joins the road. Continue right on this road until you reach the Lourioux property.
(1) Leave the road and climb left onto a path towards Carroi de la Daumerie. At the top, turn right towards Vallée Martin. Follow the perimeter of an estate as closely as possible through the woods until you come out into a field. Continue straight ahead.
(2) At Vallée Martin, continue along the road to the right. After passing the Simonnière farm buildings, after a bend in the road to the right, take the first path on the left. Join a road, follow it to the left for a few metres and, at the fork in the road that immediately appears, keep to the right.
(3) At a pond on the right-hand side of the road, cross the Petite Choisille and immediately turn left onto the path. Shortly afterwards, ignore two paths on the right, pass the ponds on your left and, further on, at a crossroads, turn left.
(4) At the intersection, about 80 metres further on and about 50 metres before reaching Petite Choisille, turn right. You will come to a road; continue straight ahead until you reach a wider road, the D4.
(5) Turn left for a few metres. Before the bridge, take the path on the right towards La Folie, following the yellow markings. Pass in front of the Château de la Harlandière and continue along the wide path through the meadows.
(6) Just after a small meadow on the left, turn left, following the yellow markings, to walk along the meadow. The path then branches off to the left, behind the meadow, then turns right. Further on, notice the caves in the cliff on the right. Just after, at a fork, turn left, then at the next fork, turn right. Continue until you see a pond on your left.
(7) Ignore a path that branches off to the right and continue straight ahead along the pond. At the end of the pond, ignore a path that comes in from the left and continue straight ahead on the trail. You will come to a small road near the Moulin de Berton.
(8) Turn right onto this road towards La Richardière.
(9) Just before this house, leave the road and turn right towards La Saulterie. Walk along the meadow and continue straight ahead to enter the woods. At the fork, follow the yellow markings and turn left. At the next fork, continue straight ahead, still in the woods. Ignore all the paths that branch off to the left and right (most of them are blocked) to reach the Hallier crossroads.
(10) Turn left at the edge of the woods towards La Burerie. At the intersection with a path, continue straight ahead, then at the crossroads with a small road, continue on the path opposite.
(11) At La Burerie, head right across the fields. At the fork, continue left on a path that enters the undergrowth. (On the map, there is a fork shortly after with a path that branches off to the left but cannot be found on the ground. If it reappears one day, ignore it). Continue along the path that passes under the high-voltage power line until you reach a small road, near a large oak tree and a house called Chênerie.
(12) Immediately turn left, following the sign for Les Chaintres. Just after, ignore a path on the left. Then, at the fork, turn right and at the three-way junction just after, ignore the path on the right and continue straight ahead. Shortly afterwards, the path turns right.
(13) You will come out onto the road you left at La Chênerie and follow it to the left. When it starts to turn left, turn onto a path on the right. Continue along this path, which soon turns left. Walk alongside a beautiful pond before reaching the farm.
(14) Turn right, leaving the yellow markings, and head towards La Sirotière. Pass under the high-voltage power line and continue along this path through the fields until you reach a road. Follow it to the left.
(15) Take the first path on the right. Continue until you reach another road. Follow this road to the right, then take the first road on the left down towards Vallée Vigneau.
(16) Continue along this small road as it turns left towards the pond. Continue, ignoring the paths on the right, pass under the water tower, then, just after, turn right at the edge of the woods, towards the pond. Cross the playground, then turn left to walk along the pond and return to the wash house, our starting point (S/E).
